Happy May!

Happy May (almost June) to everyone! We are FINALLY having a beautiful week of weather! Jasper has had lots of rain the past few weeks with a pretty day here and there.
Well, little miss Kenley is now 2 months old! I can't believe it! She had her appointment today and weighs 12 lbs 15 0z and is 24 1/2" long. She is growing well and doing great with development. She had to have 3 shots in her legs today, which just about broke my heart. I can't stand that! But she fell asleep soon after and has been sleeping most of the day since. She will start daycare when I go back to work on Monday, June 8. It's coming up so fast. Time has just flown by...I'm not sure where it went. I look forward to returning to work, but I will miss my babies so much! Speaking of daycare, Noah starts pre-school on June 1! He will still be in daycare, but from 9-11 each day, he will have pre-school. He has started transitioning to his new room this week and has been telling me how much fun he is having. Noah and his friend Hayley are both moving to the new room together, so at least he will know another kid in the class.

May has kept us busy and we've had a few visitors from Louisville also.
Our friends Amy, Scott and Logan stopped by recently. Noah drove Logan around in his jeep (which Noah now LOVES that jeep - he won't stop driving it)!

Our friends Liron, Gene and Shylee also stopped by for a visit. Shylee is 7 months old. She is just 5 months older than Kenley! They will be such great friends! We can't wait to see them start playing together. (Don't we have two beautiful girls)?!?!?

Mamaw and Papaw Lamont came for a visit to attend Kenley's baptism. Avery was also baptized the same day, so Kenley and Avery were baptized together on Mother's Day. It ended up being a beautiful afternoon and we had a Mother's Day/baptism party after at Chad and Katie's house.

Kenley's Godmother Beth attends Purdue. She graciously bought these bibs for both Avery and Kenley. I'm not sure Avery is too thrilled about it! She must know her dad is an IU fan!
With all this excitement we had this month, we also had some heartbreak. My Aunt Jackie passed away suddenly on Mother's Day. We have lost 5 people in our families in just 10 months. It's been hard, but we know everyone is watching over us and is pain free. We are thinking of Grandma, Jay, Nolan, Robert, Jackie, and all others we have lost before then, each and every day! Love you and miss you all!

Enjoying every moment

Happy Friday to everyone! Time sure is flying. Kenley will be 6 weeks old on Sunday already. I can't believe it!
I am not sure how I lucked out and got her to smile! But I love it!
This is the blanket we got from Progressive. Thank you everyone!

Kenley and Noah are both doing great. Kenley is growing so much and so fast, it's just crazy. I forgot just how fast they change when they are this young. Noah is still being an awesome big brother. He was feeding her a bottle yesterday...all by himself. He did a great job! He still always asks to hold her, gives her sweet kisses and anytime she cries, he tells her "it's okay sissy, mommy will get you".

Noah has had a rough month as far as being sick. He just got over the hand, foot, and mouth virus and his ruptured ear drum. I sure hope he stays well now! He has been sick off and on since the week before Kenley was born (including on his birthday and on Easter). Poor little guy! But he seems to be back to himself and is goofier than ever!
He gets his style from his Uncle Aaron (really - Aaron bought him everything he's wearing except the socks)I told him to smile big - he listened!

Kenley is still a great sleeper! There are nights where she will sleep 7 hours straight!!! I will take than anyday! If she does get up in the middle of the night, it is usually only one time. And unless she needs to poop (it takes her a while to get it out) , she goes right back to sleep!

Just a reminder for those who would like to leave Kenley a message on her website, Click here.
We had Noah and Kenley's pictures taken together this week. Kenley was ready to eat, so she didn't cooperate too much, but we still got some great pictures either way. I will share a few.

We are looking forward to Kenley's baptism on May 10. Avery and Kenley will be baptized the same day! It will make for a perfect Mother's Day!

Take care and keep in touch!

Keeping busy!

Hello to everyone following our site! Hope this finds you doing well! Everything is going great in the Lamont household. Definitely keeping busy!!! Also, we want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Chad, Katie and Carter on the arrival of Avery Elizabeth! She was born on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:25 pm and was 6 lbs 9 oz. She is beautiful!

We celebrated Noah's birthday, even though he had a fever and wasn't quite himself. It is hard to believe he is already 3! Time flies so fast. And now that Kenley is here, time is going by even faster. She is almost 3 weeks old now and I just can't believe it. Here is a picture of our babies! We are completely in love! If you click the picture, it will open an album so you can view a few more. As you scroll through the pictures, you will see that Noah got a power wheels jeep for his birthday. He's still not too sure of it, but he's getting more comfortable driving it around, and I'm sure he'll be loving it soon enough! One thing we know he absolutely LOVES is the new swing set and slide we have. Now, we just need the nice, warm weather to come and STAY so he can enjoy it!

Noah is still being a great big brother. He had a cranky week last week, but he also had a fever. He has been great with Kenley, he was just extra clingy and whiny with me. I guess he was not ready to share his mommy. He also hasn't been feeling great. But, this week has been a different story. He is doing so much better this week, no fever, and he is back to himself. Even more extra wild and crazy, if that is possible! He always asks to hold Kenley, tells her he loves her and how pretty she is. It definitely melts my heart!

This morning, as he was holding her, she got ahold of his thumb and started sucking it! He giggled and said she was silly for licking his thumb. But that was enough that he told me to get her and he quickly wiped his finger on the carpet. Guess he doesn't like baby spit on his hand?!?!

Both Kenley and Noah had a doctor's appointment this week. It was Noah's 3 year appt and Kenley's follow up appointment. They are both doing great! Kenley now weighs 9 lbs 7 oz! She is a great baby and quickly got her days and nights figured out. She typically sleeps 4 hours at a time at night. She usually just gets up once around 2 or 3 am to eat and she goes right back to sleep. That is great!! It was a LONG time before Noah had slept that well. She definitely likes her sleep (like both her mommy and daddy)!

Kenley is being baptized on Sunday, May 10. This also happens to be Mother's Day. Noah was actually baptized on Mother's Day too!

Well...keep checking back to the site. I will try to keep it updated as much as possible! And in the meantime, enjoy the photos!

FINALLY...pictures to view!

Hello to everyone! I finally had the chance to get some pictures uploaded. If you click the picture below (isn't it sweet?), you will be linked to an album of photos.

Everything is going great with us so far. Kenley is a really good baby. She has her days and nights mixed up, but she is getting better with that each day. She hardly ever cries (knock on wood) and she is gaining her weight back that she lost in the hospital. When we left, she was 8 lbs 6 oz. As of yesterday, she was back up to 8 lbs 10 oz. Me and my big babies :-) At least I know they are healthy!

Noah is being the most awesome big brother. He has been great with Kenley and helps with everything he can. He asks to hold her and picks out books for mommy to read to her. He helps get diapers and throw the dirty ones away and he gives her lots and lots of kisses! It's so sweet.

Today he is taking cupcakes to school for his friends to celebrate his birthday. He was so excited about that. He went on a Walmart shopping trip with me last night to pick them out. He was great in Walmart. He listened to me the entire time and even walked through most of the store himself instead of being in the cart.

I have to say, I am very in love!!! Kids are a true blessing and they just melt your heart! I have the best family and husband ever!

On a sad note, please keep Billy's family in your thoughts and prayers. Our brother-in-law, Robert Martini, passed away on Wednesday from ALS (Lou Gherig's disease). He had been battling the terrible disease since January 2008. We have participated in several fundraising activities, including the ALS walk in Louisville last year. We intend to keep raising money to help find a cure for this! If you would like to donate, please click the link shown on the right side of our webpage. Debbie, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you!

Introducing Kenley Grace Lamont…

It’s with great excitement and joy that we introduce Kenley Grace Lamont!!! On March 15, 2009 at 1:32pm Kenley entered this world, and boy did she make an entrance. Weighing in at 9lb’s and 22 ½ inches long she already was larger than her big brother at birth who was 8lb's 4oz and 22 inches long and he was born at 1:37 pm. Noah was born on March 22 and Lisa's birthday is on March 18th, so March is a really busy month for our family.

Noah was able to meet his “Sissy” and did really good. He was excited to get to hold his little sister and even gave her a little kiss. He of course really liked the Car’s that Kenley got him, so he thinks she is top’s right now.

Sorry this is short… we will post more when we get a chance. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their support and sharing in this wonderful time of our life!!
